Syaugi said the extension of the evacuation period was based on the evaluation meeting held by the joint SAR team on the 10th day of the search due to the trend of the finding is decreasing.

“I remind you again, this extension period is specifically for Basarnas. We still open the posts here,” he added.

Next week, Basarnas will evaluate the joint SAR team who has worked together to see the shortcomings while conducting the evacuation process of the Lion Air JT 610 victims.

The evaluation needs to be done to see what needs to be improved for the cooperation in the future.
