TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta deputy governor candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Ahmad Syaikhu, claimed to be ready to impose vision and mission of Governor Anies Baswedan.

“Hopefully, what the governor dream of–developed city, happy citizen–could be achieved within the next four years,” said Ahmad Syaikhu in Bekasi, Tuesday, November 6.

Syaikhu supported all plans noted in the Regional Medium Term Development Plan Forum (RPJMD) drafted by Anies-Sandi for five years since the inauguration day as the regional head.

“I will follow the political commitment between executives and legislative of Jakarta,” Syaikhu added. Thus, he is ready to undergo fit and proper test held by an agency established by two supporting parties, PKS and Gerindra.

Syaikhu underlined that understanding issues in Jakarta along with its solutions were the preparation to face the test. However, the test remained unscheduled.

Syaikhu deemed the team was currently being formed to later decide deputy governor in replacement of Sandiaga Uno. “Hopefully in the near time,” he added.

Gerindra party agreed to hand out the position of Jakarta deputy governor to replace Sandiaga Uno in a meeting took place on Monday afternoon, November 5. Meanwhile, PKS party earlier had proposed its two cadres namely Ahmad Syaikhu and Agung Yulianto who was currently served as secretary of PKS Jakarta.
