Tempo-UKRIDA Collaborates to Encourage Students as Entrepreneur

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Info Media Digital, a media company that manages news site Tempo.co, in tandem with Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA) Jakarta established a seminar “Find Your Business Idea” on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Prior to the seminar, PT Info Media Digital executive director Burhan Sholihin and UKRIDA rector Erning Wihardjo signed an agreement in UKRIDA Campus 2 on Jalan Arjuna Utara, Duri Kepa, Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta. Both institutions synergized in the education and information development by utilizing digital media Tempo.

Lecturers and students of Economy and Business Faculty of UKRIDA presented the seminar regarding business and its opportunity in a digital platform. “With this seminar, students will be motivated to run their business earlier, and so it grows entrepreneurial spirit,” said Burhan.

According to Burhan, the collaboration between university and media firm through digital platform potentially produced valuable and reliable information. Tempo, Burhan added, presently has a huge concern to millennial generation to earlier partake in small and medium enterprises or SMEs.

“We motivate students in this seminar. The successful business of Indonesian youth will help to develop SMEs and boost the country’s economic growth to the better,” he noted.

Meanwhile, senior digital marketing Tokopedia Krishna Nugraha invited students to run business should an idea came up. He suggested not to have doubt in running a business and be confident. “Follow the slogan of Tokopedia: start first.”
