KPK Probes Cirebon Regent,12 Witnesses in PositionTrading Bribery

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) scheduled a probe of 12 witnesses related to the alleged bribery in the case of position trading by the non-active Cirebon Regent, Sunjaya Purwadi.
“It is scheduled to probe the 12 witnesses in the bribery case related to the transfer and rotation of position in the Cirebon administration,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in a written statement on Monday, November 5.
They are Andri Yuliandri, Head of Staff Subdivision of General Section, Avip Suhardian, Head of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, Rahmat Sutrisno, Regional Secretary, Yayat Ruhyat, former Regional Secretary, Jajat, PUPR staff, Nana Mulyana, Head of Tourism, Suparman, Head of PUPR's Technical Guidance.
The KPK also probed a number of Cirebon administration civil servants namely Adil Prayitno Sanija Wachyudi, Sri Darmanto and Supadi. The KPK also probed the witness from the private party, Robi.
Febri said that KPK investigators had also scheduled a probe of Sunjaya today. "Probed for the suspect Gatot Rachmanto," he said.
The KPK has set Sunjaya as a suspect on the allegation of receiving gifts or promises related to position trading. Sunjaya allegedly received Rp100 million from other suspects, namely Gatot Rachmanto as Secretary of the Cirebon District Public Works and Spatial Planning Office through the regent’s aide.
Sunjaya was also suspected of receiving a project fee of Rp6,4 billion. The money was seized by the KPK from the accounts held by Sunjaya in the name of other people.
