Auction of Jewelry Seized from Corruption Convicts Reach Rp200mn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced the results of the auction of the confiscated goods from two corruption case convicts.
These items were confiscated from the convict of Sabang Port case, Heru Sulaksono, and the convict in the beef import quota case, Ahmad Fathanah.
The auction was held on Wednesday, October 10, using the open bidding method.
“From the results of the KPK auction with the State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), the total value of jewelry that was sold is Rp272,377,000,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah through a written statement, Thursday, October 11.
There were 20 confiscated goods of corruption cases in the auction; ranging from cars, rings, watches, to diamond bracelets and pearls.
Febri said that the auction was part of an effort of asset recovery optimalization in the KPK.
