Police Raid Ecstasy Manufacturer in Cibinong, Find New Drug Type

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Jakarta Police raided a house allegedly used as an ecstasy pill factory in Cibinong on early Saturday, September 22 at Sentra Pondok Rajek Blok B2 no. 5 housing complex, Cibinong, Bogor Regency.
Chief of West Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit Adj. Sr. Comr. Erick Fredriz said the police had arrested the homeowner AUP, 40 years old.
During the raid, police found thousands of ecstasy pills ready to be distributed along with its ingredients.
"The ecstasy that we found was a new type," Erick said in a written statement on Sunday, September 23.
The police were still further investigating the case. The factory, he added, was successfully disclosed after the previous arrest of the suspect.
Today, September 24, the police planned to examine the crime scene with the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center. "We are also waiting for the test results of this newly discovered ecstasy," he said.
Last month, West Jakarta Police also raided a home-based methamphetamine factory in Metland Complex area, Cipondoh sub-district, Tangerang City. From the house, the police confiscated Rp11 billion worth of crystal meth and several methamphetamine-making tools.
