TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The management of Kalibata City apartment sets three preventive measures to shut down the practice of prostitution operating in the apartment. The three steps include summoning the brokers, security briefing, and occupancy control.
“Every broker or owner is not allowed to rent out their unit on a daily basis. At least three months. They have to submit the agreement to us,” Kalibata City General Manager Ishak Lopung said on Thursday, 9 August.

The management will also conduct a briefing to the apartment security officers to be brave and assertive towards strangers. Ishak claimed that his office is currently promoting the occupancy control every day by visiting each tower and ensure, based on the data from the management, whether the occupant is a permanent or daily tenant.
“We started to implement it after we got the info (from the police) and been doing it routinely ever since,” said Ishak.
Ishak also mentioned that the Kalibata City management would take firm action against the sex workers, especially those who are underage, by involving their parents.
