TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said that the bomb attack in three churches in Surabaya is truly a barbaric act and beyond the boundaries of humanity.
Moreover, the bombers at the Surabaya church used a child who was about 10 years old.
“This act of terrorism is indeed cruel and beyond the boundaries of humanity, which caused the victims of community members, police officers and children who are innocent,” said Jokowi at Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya, Sunday, May 13.

Jokowi said terrorism is a crime against humanity and has nothing to do with any religion.
"All religious teachings reject terrorism, whatever the reason," he said.
"There is no word that can describe how deeply our condolences are all for the victims of this suicide bombing in Surabaya," he added.
Jokowi also urged all people in remote areas of the country to remain calm, keep the unity and stay alert.

"Only by the joint efforts of the entire nation, terrorism can be eradicated, we must unite against terrorism," he said.
Jokowi met the victims of the bomb explosion at Surabaya church treated at Bhayangkara Hospital. In addition, he also saw directly the location of a bomb explosion at the Christian Church of Indonesia (GKI) on Jalan Diponegoro.
