RI Instant Coffee Fascinates Kyrgyz at Food Expo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kyrgyz people have found Indonesian instant coffee products appealing thanks to its unique tastes and unmistakable aroma.

Kyrgyz people's enthusiasm for Indonesian coffee was evident when the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent promoted the coffee at the Food Expo in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, which lasted from 17-19 April, according to a release by the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent on Monday, April 23. 

The Indonesian Embassy promoted Indonesian food and beverages in tandem with coffee and snacks producer PT Mayora during the exhibition.

Some Kyrgyz businessmen visiting the embassy's booth have expressed their interest in becoming distributors for Indonesian instant coffee products in the Kyrgyz market.

An array of of food and beverages were on display during the exhibition, including instant coffee, biscuits, chocolates, and coffee candies.

Kyrgyzstan Food Expo Exhibition is the largest food product and food industry exhibition in Kyrgyzstan, luring some 3,5000 visitors with 40 participating exhibitors hailing from 8 countries: Russia, Belarus, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Germany, China, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. 

The embassy's participation in the event was part of its endeavor to explore new market opportunities for Indonesian coffee.
