TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The South Jakarta District Court held another court trial on the terrorist of Sarinah bombing today, March 13. The court presented Aman Abdurrahman as the defendant and Adi Jihadi as a witness.

Adi Jihadi was found guilty of smuggling weapons from the Philippines and another case of sending Jamaah Anshorut Daulah (JAD) personnel to Marawi. He is currently serving six years imprisonment in both cases.

Facts in the previous court trial revealed that the weapons used by the terrorists in the attack in Sarinah area on January 14, 2016, was funded by Adi Jihadi. However, he claimed that he was never informed about the terror in advance.

“I wasn’t aware of that in the beginning. I knew about it from investigators,” said Adi.

Adi claimed that he never met with Aman Abdurrahman at the Nusakambangan jail. At the time, Adi was visiting his elder brother Iwam Dharmawan a.k.a Rois who was the mastermind behind the Sarinah terror attack.

“I met the defendant two-to-three times there,” he explained.

Adi explained that he and Aman only talked about Islamic law on mortgaging personal items and never received any secret message.

During Adi’s visit to Nusakambangan, he said that he was given orders to be a facilitator to buy several flight tickets to Syria and was told to take US$30,000 with him that would be given by an individual at the Matahari Mall in Serang.

Adi then gave US$20,000 to Zainal Anshori and US$3,000 to Suryadi Mas’ud. The rest, amounted to US$7,000, was used to buy weapons in the Philippines which was ultimately used by the terrorists in the terror attack in Jakarta's Sarinah area, locally known as the Sarinah terror attack.
