TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The United States Charge d’Affaires Brian McFeeters ascertained that bilateral relationships between the US and Indonesia will continue to be maintained despite of the final results of the Presidential Election. According to McFeeters, Indonesia and the United States, are two nations with a strategic partnership.

"Both, Indonesia and United States, essentially must keep on cooperating [with each other]. Indonesia is economically strong in the ASEAN [region] and we can improve the relationship," McFeeters said on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

McFeeters asserted that Indonesia plays an important role in Asia and Southeast Asia, and therefore, an important partner for the United States

"We will continue to strengthen our relations with Indonesia and carry out existing programs," McFeeters stated.

US citizens had recently voted Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump as the new President.
