TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 258 foreign travelers have booked tickets through travel agents to witness the natural phenomenon of total solar eclipse in Central Bangka District, Bangka Belitung, which is estimated to occurred on March 9, 2016.
“We have received information from travel agencies that so far, 258 foreign tourists have booked tickets to come and see the eclipse,” Chief of Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Youth, and Sports Department in Central Bangka, Zaidi, said on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Tourist arrivals will come from local, national and international travel agencies.
“We always communicate with various travel agency services in Bangka Belitung, Jakarta and international travel agencies,” said Zaidi.
The department always coordinates with a number of travel agencies so that the packages they offer will be in line with what the tourists will see on the site.
“The tourism package offered must be in accordance with the eclipse preparation which we have been doing so far,” he said.
Among the offered packages is a special room for foreign tourists to eye the eclipse.
