TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimov said that his club had an easy victory over big-spending German club Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the Champions League top 16 stage. "We had an impressive match," he said after the Tuesday night fixture at BayArena in Leverkusen.
PSG led almost immediately, scoring three minutes after kick-off with a goal from midfielder Blaise Matuidi. Ibrahimovic scored first from a penalty six minutes before half time, and then again three minutes later from outside the box.
Just as PSG was about to walk out with 3-0 victory, newly signed Yohan Cabaye scored two minutes before final whistle. The two clubs will meet again in the second leg at Parc des Princes, on March 12, with PSG set to pocket a massive aggregate on the way to the quarter finals.
